Full Moon Ritual: Cleanse and Prepare

Dreams often tell us things. They help us sort through our consciousness and create understanding. But they can also contain messages and prophecies. And in my case, deliver a Full Moon Ritual! The shop has many items. On the counter is a basket of candles on sticks. The candles are no bigger than the average crayon. The sign says the whole basket is for $5. I can afford that, but my intuition tells me that they don’t belong there. I ask the woman behind the counter. She informs me that they indeed do not belong there and takes me to the correct display. I cannot afford all of them, so…

Love Transformation – 5 things I do to greet change with excitement and confidence

This time next week, I will be married on my honeymoon. But I am not scared. I am excited! Elated! If you have been reading and listening to me, you know I have anxiety. Change is not something I handle so well. I have a hard time letting things go. How can I face death of a self with such love and compassion? Because of the practice I have been creating. Let me share it with you! Reframe! This is a skill I learned from studying as an MSW.  (Hello CBT! lol) The first thought I have about change is “Ahhh! No!” This comes from the belief that change is…

    Lumina Tarot: III. The Empress

III: The Empress The field is wide and far reaching. Animals and humans alike work the earth as an individual wooden staff walks around assisting the various groups. They always seem to find the ones that need it the most and water appears out of thin air in their hands for those who are thirsty. Their knees are dirty. Their feet are bare. And their smile lights up the whole field. You would expect someone who has been standing in the sun working hard to smell like sweat, but this individual smells like fruit and berries still. The earth begins to cool and the group moves off to lay in…

    Books + Spirit

Have you ever read a book and it just moved you to the core of your spirit? I recently had this experience, just after graduation. I was already a mess of sorts at that time. I was moving back home. I felt the pressures of post-graduate graduation (get a job, move out, be successful). Actually use the degree I just paid a bunch of money for. Having to officially prep for the wedding. Etc. Needless to say, the first part of the book hit me hard. The unsurety and need for a change resonated within me. Specifically, there was one point where my fiance had left the room while I…

    Lumina Tarot: I The Magician

I: The Magician An individual holds their hands out before them. Their tools appear before them in a display of power. They are showing you what they can do, and what they can teach you. The individual is a seer. Their piercing eyes have seen through your display already. They know your inner spirit and what lies at the core of who you are. They can teach you to see the connections between all things, how to wield the magic within you, and transform yourself with knowledge. This card tells of power, connection, and knowledge. Power and knowledge to transform one’s surroundings and circumstances. Knowledge of connections to obtain what…

    Lumina Tarot: 0 The Fool

I received the Lumina Tarot at the tail end of 2015, and I wanted to spend some time getting to know the deck in a different way than I usually do. Usually, I jump into shuffling the cards and conducting readings for free or for fun. This time though, I am going to take some more time before I move to reading with it. I will be posting entries on each card with my interpretation. These may or may not line up readily with the interpretations given to them by Lauren Aletta at Inner Hue. (You can purchase your own deck here.) In the end though, that won’t matter. I…
