Everything is always working out in my favor – Using and applying this affirmation.
Affirmations are little things we can use to shift our energy and create new realities. Here’s one I’ve been playing with AND seeing success with – “Everything is always working out in my favor.” Let’s talk using and applying this affirmation.
Back in February, I began playing with this affirmation myself – “Everything is always working out in my favor.” Sometimes I say it as “Everything is always working out for me.”
⠀
I get it – this sounds like a selfish affirmation. But what it is doing is combating the deep roots of “I never do anything right. I’m a failure.” It also brings our attention to the things that are working out – because life is a mix of things, and we can condition ourselves to notice different things.⠀
⠀
When I notice things working out, I feel more confident. I make future-oriented decisions. I continue moving forward.⠀
When I’ve felt like a failure and nothing I did was right – I got stuck. Moving forward began to feel like moving through muck. I would spiral.⠀
⠀
This isn’t limited to just me – it is in part, how these beliefs work. It is part of reprogramming. (Learn more about reprogramming here.)
Using “Everything is always working out in my favor”
Before really diving in with playing with “Everything is always working out in my favor,” I played with it in small ways.
I was on my way home one night, and it was later at night. There wasn’t much traffic, but I did have a number of lights to get through. And if I hit a bunch of red lights, it would take longer than I wanted to to get home. So, I played. “Everything is always working out in my favor. May I get home quickly and easily with all green lights. Except in cases where I would get pulled over or be in an accident.” And wouldn’t you know it, I hit green lights all the way home. Except for 1 at which I had to wait at for a moment.
I spoke about this on a live in my Facebook group, so click here to join and watch the video!
This gave me the confidence to play in other ways.
At the end of February, I ended up having my best month ever in my business at the time. It was so close – and then BAM a refund for something I had ordered came though putting the numbers just over the edge. It was by pennies. BUT! It was just further evidence for me.
March then brought Tax Season.
I wasn’t expecting to get much back. But I was hoping for at least enough to give us a little support, and possibly pitch in for purchasing a Nintendo Switch. (Had to get that Animal Crossing.) One person worked on our taxes, and then another came to check on it. And she caught something and changed where it was placed, which meant we got even more money back than I was expecting!
Everything is always working out in my favor.
Over the last few months, I’ve further accumulated evidence:
- Receiving 3 1:1 clients while the pandemic exploded in the United States.
(Admittedly, not focusing on it and reminding myself, and doing the reframing work for a hot minute.) - New phone dropping in price.
- A 2-bedroom apartment opening up, plus getting a discount on the monthly rent.
- A bonus from my side hustle.
And more!
There are still things unfolding. Still things coming together. And of course there will be new things as time goes on.
How to Use It
Let’s review how I use this affirmation.
Start small.
Begin with “Everything is always working out in my favor. I’m hitting green lights all the way home, except when it would harm me or someone else, or I would get pulled over.” The key is that when it looks like it doesn’t work out in your favor – trust that it did. You avoided a collision that you couldn’t have known would happen. The red or yellow light made you slow down enough that you weren’t speeding, even if just a little bit, and thus you avoided getting pulled over.
Try this with a couple of small things. I used it grocery shopping and ended up just under budget after some coupons. I still use this with things like getting places on time while driving.
Build upon it.
After you’ve been using it with some smaller things, and building that trust, confidence, reality, and discerning eye – build upon that by using it with “larger” things. Things where you may think, “I don’t know if this will really work.”
For me, that became using it in my business with money. The revenue each month was always working out in my favor. And our money in the household over all – “Everything is always working out in my favor. We have more than enough money to pay our bills.” In February, I had my best month ever. In March we got more back on our taxes and I had a new best month ever. In April, we got our stimulus checks. May became my second best month ever. And I have yet to calculate the totals for June – but you can see the pattern.
Continue to Use it.
I can see when I was not affirming it, not focusing my awareness, that I didn’t have as great of outcomes. They weren’t bad, but I wasn’t seeing how things were working out in my favor. And a couple of times, I did begin to spin out.
But as I remembered to affirm it and focus on what was working out, it became easier to do so.
So keep going. Keep using it. When you fall out of habit, bring it back in. You don’t have to start all over. Just start using it again. And it will become the norm.
Give it a try!
Try using this affirmation! Start with the small things, like driving home from work, or getting great prices on groceries this week. Then let the evidence build. As it builds, our energy and trust builds and we see more of.
Can’t get behind it?
Try something smaller. Try something like “I am willing to see how things are working out in my favor.” “I am willing to begin believing that things can always work out in my favor.”
